Responsible for the effective provision and management of Social Protection Programs and Community Services

Provision and management of Bus Stations to facilitate smooth operations and enhance revenue collections.
Easing the mobility of people and goods
Provision of fee paying toilets in public facilities run by Councils
Issuance of Tenancy Agreement to traders on Council built shops at a fee
Issuance pf Lease Agreement to taders in self built shops at a fee which is valid for 5 years
Provision of services such as water, sanitation and security to market users
Provision of market stands

Improve security of tenure for residents in informal settlement by issuing the Occupancy License valid for 30 years
Coordinate the upgrading of unplanned settlements in the District.
Manage Council properties and housing data needs in the district.
Lobby for improved housing units

Provision of skills development such as tailoring, carpentry, music, arts and culture.
its also responsible in prevention of HIV/AIDS by distribution of both male and female
Facilitate the mobilisation of communities in community development activities.
Coordinate and implement social protection programs. (GBV, Child abuse, early marriages, teen pregnancies and other cross-cutting issues)
Implement skills development to enhance the availability of skills in communities.
Coordinate the development of community sports in the district.
Facilitate the provision of early childhood education and adult literacy.
Registration and management of community voluntary organizations.
Provide Library information services to support research.
