Director of Finance

The department is under the leadership of the Director of Finance, who oversees all financial operations. This includes the management of bank accounts, the preparation of financial reports, the maintenance of asset registers, the maintenance of the Valuation roll, and the supervision of stores, among other responsibilities.

Revenue Section

The section is responsible for effective and efficient collection of all revenues due to the Council in order to finance Councils operations.

Expenditure Section

This section is responsible for; Effective monitoring of expenditure in order to ensure compliance with the council’s budget and Effective management of the payroll in order to ensure that expenditure on personal emoluments is contained within the budget limits

Establishment

The section is responsible for managing and computing all expenses related to staff establishment and personal emoluments.

Accountancy Section

This section is responsible for; Management of budget preparation process and maintenance of books of accounts for prudent utilisation of resources and timely production of financial reports for both internal and external users in order to facilitate decision making.
